Dr Carole Pemberton is an executive coach, researcher, author and Visiting Professor in Business Coaching at Ulster University.  She developed her interest in resilience through working with individuals whose resilience had been tested by the demands of their work.  She works with senior leaders in the private and public sector as well as leaders of humanitarian organisations working in areas of high risk.  Alongside her 1:1 work she develops resilience programmes for corporate settings and develops internal and external coaches to be able to work with resilience issues.

She is the author of Resilience: A Practical Guide for Coaches, as well as being a regular contributor to the media on the topic.

Philippa Gill joined Verdextra in 2015.  She has over 15 years’ experience in private equity and real estate operations, and before joining Verdextra, she was global co-head of sustainability for a large property company.  Nowadays, Philippa finds herself working on ground-breaking projects focused on human beings in the built environment, with features such as the circular economy and the role of technology front and centre.

Ben McGuire is the Innovation & Business Change Director at leading international law firm Simmons and Simmons. He is responsible to the Managing Partner for the execution of the firm’s strategy in three key areas – innovation and new business, service excellence and the delivery of strategic projects. Prior to joining the firm, Ben was COO of the Takeover Panel for two and half years having transitioned out of the British Army via an MBA (with Distinction) at Warwick Business School.
